I am after some advise please
I have a 2000UK turbo with Prodrive upgrades plus a few other bits.
I had the car up the 1/4 strip and got a 13.8(not to bad???) should do low 13'3 if i get my start correct
It the Scoobysport Ecutek a better chip?
I was told i would get around 275Bhp for £700
Is it worth my spending my £££'s

It's very difficult to put a figure on it. If your car already has the PPP then you ain't gonna see a massive improvement in performance, if any.
You can expect anywhere between 240bhp and 280bhp depending on what your other little "bits" are.

Thanks for that
So not worth spending £700 then
Sorry as i am a very NEW Scooby owner its all new to me!
On my old car a 35 BHP increase would make quite a difference
I guess you also have the old Warrenty issues also?

The guy that had th car B4 me has spent loads on it
330mm kad 6pots,MRT anti-roll bars,Eibach Springs ect
The car has been set up excellently
So i was just wondering overall about boosting the BHP & Torque a little further?

Not much to be gained on what you have without going Link and upgrading some serious parts. I have a Tek2 and at 270hp i think thats as far as I can go without another HUGE bill
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they're easy to up the power to a certain level but after that it'll start costing a lot more.

Link Systems ECU, fully programmable and doesnt rely on a MAF sensor either which is handy, but only worth while if you have other things like bigger turbo and Front Mount Intercooler.
Yes, I have done a 1/4 dash, only got 14.1 but I was going EASY, VERY EASY on the clutch, didnt slip it in, just got her rolling and then nailed it. At the time it didnt matter cos I was racing a friends civic type r.
My car is a UK 99 turbo

LOL CTR
I was at the Pod on Sunday(only got 1 run as was bad weather)
Only had the car for a week but wanted to go up the strip got a 13.8@ 98.24MPH not bad for the 1st run
Can get lower if my starts are better.
Do you know what the Scoobysport EcuTek is like?
I was told 275Bhp for about £700

Yes I do, I have one, i got 270hp at power engineering with full decat and scoobysport ecutek 2 and itg panel, at the time my MAF was faulty (they told me during rolling road session at PE) so I expect 270 is atleast what I have.
Its not all about power though, 270 is more than standard 215 obviously but the turbo comes on earlier and for me it holds it longer too, the curve is much better all round. But if you have PPP I wouldnt worry (infact the new PPP is an ecutek map anyway so i'm told)

i've had many scary moments which could have possibly cost me money, I think the best money to be spent it on driving tuition, good tyres, cleaning products and so on. I drove my car with budget tyres and then put some decent goodyear Eagle F1 tyres on and it made a world of difference.
