Switched my car on and the gauge swept up and stopped at 2.0 (ie the highest point) on the scale and didnt come down... i pulled the gauge out and even without power the needle stays put, tapped the gauge and it slowly fell a bit further down with each tap of the finger... so is it the motor? can it be fixed? and anyone know how much?

Try puling out the power connection on the bottom of the control unit to reset it. Mine did this for a while then suddenly stopped ???

Mine was stuck on -0.7 when I got it, but it reset when I turned it on for the first time.
I did e-mail Defi in Japan, and recieved a lovely response telling me it would do just that!

Question

If you're still having probs after that, try e-mailing Defi in Japan. They are incredibly helpful.

did as you guys suggested and nowt, then at some traffic lights it went thru the start sequence and then stopped at some point on the gauge again... left it with wires unplugged now for a few days to be sure its reset and will go from there.

cheers for idea on mailing defi in japan, think that may be my best course of action if this doesnt work... hmmm.

Jon - Not sure about Classics at the mo': just got back from a 2 month "holiday" in the desert so the wife is nagging me to go off on holiday somewhere with her which might clash with Classics.

Would be good to catch up over some beer though!
