Knock-Link position, is this OK?
#1
Going to be doing my Knock-Link and Lambda-Link soon. Got the Lambda-Link sorted, (thanks Bob at BRD).
Looking at fitting the Knock-Link, I see that on my '98 UK car there seems to be a spare bolt hole on the end of the Left side of the engine, (seen from inside), close to the starter, facing upwards, ie: vertical. It seems to be tapped, and doesn't necessitate taking off the intercooler.
Is this one OK to use? Or do I need to get in under the intercooler?

That looks like the hole recommended by Bob Rawle and that is where I have just fitted mine. Works well and it is possible to do it without removing the IC, though a bit fiddly. I had a 3/4 inch rubber pipe in the way-connected to the manifold, I took it off and replaced it afterwards. Mine is a my94 so may be slightly different to yours with pipes etc.
