ive recently had a 2nd hand exhaust system fitted to my my00 comprising of a magnex twin dump down pipe and an hks centre pipe and rear box, thereby removing both cats. At the same time a Blitz sus induction system has also been installed. I expected great things from this mod having read these pages for a couple of weeks but to be honest im quite puzzled .It sounds great but I cant feel any increase in performance at all, if anything acceleration is a touch slower!! Where have i gone wrong guys? Dissapointed of wokingham!!

Super or Optimax is a must.
The chances are you will offset the extra cost by increased mpg.
On a MY00 it will take 2-3 tanks for the ECU to adjust to the new fuel, but once thats done your car will run smoother and perform better.
I'm quite suprised you have noticed no difference at all with the full decat.
When i had mine done i didn't notice the massive power gains that people spoke of, but over time (3-4 weeks) i began to notice how much harder the car revved and the invreased mid-range, especially when overtaking.
Just as a side note - the induction kit you're running may possibly have an argument with your MAF sensor. Do a search on this subject.

I have just fitted a scoobysport backbox and there was a definate improvement, I am in the process of fitting a JW Racing(Magnex) twin dump pipe downpipe and should feel an even bigger improvement......I hope.
