Hi,

Just having a problem with my subaru 95 sti. When I put my foot down and reaches to 5,000revs it just goes to 8.5 Revs in just a seconds put the car is just not moving, could it be the clutch or some thing else. Can someone please help. If it is how much is a STI Clutch please?

Kind Regards

hm, I had a problem with my clutch in my 93 impreza, it was similar. When my clutch went it was reving to 5,000 or 6,000 rpm's when I was accelerating....I would say it was your clutch if it was sluggish when accelerating.....if there is no change in acceleration, then I would say it is something else. Hope this helps ya out.

reagrds,
Nate

Red face

from your symptons described i'd say your clutch is slipping, i had this last month - so booked it in to TSL. I now have an AP organic, sti release bearing & lightened flywheel, oh and £900 missing from my wallet but it was worth it

The clutch they took out was worn down to the metal

IMHO if i were you i'd stop driving it and get it booked in for a new one asap

should still be ok to drive just dont rev it hard that way there wont be any big loads on the pressure plate=no slip be gentle.
