Urgent advice needed

I am having trouble getting into my 99 turbo, the alarm light on the key fob is lighting up but i can't get in to the car, the little red light shaped like a key is flashing on the dash but i'm stuck outside.....help please !!!!!!!!

Move around the car trying it from all angles.
Are you near a readio antena or a mobile phone tower.
These can interfere.
Try spare key fob.
I guess you've not got the alarm override code? Should be in the user manual for the alarm- Silver sticker. Mine was missing too.
If you know who the original dealer was try phoning them for the override code.
If no luck try Subaru Uk.
Good luck!!

Cheers guys, i will try the under the chin trick (hope nobody's watching) the car is parked about 50 metres from an infra red security camera could this be the cause?....i'll be back in a mo'!!

Still stuck, remote batteries test o.k, very strange as it locked first time this morning and i re-opened it at 11am without any problem, then i go back at 1pm and nothing!

POC tried shouting at it but all that did was cause some old lady to look at me in disgust, anyway i have finaaly found the override code so no need for the bus!!! cheers men!

This is a common problem with 'dibbers'. Basically the battery starts to run down and can't generate enough signal, that's why putting the dibber under your chin works. It also explains why it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Change the battery and try it again.
