...I've just fitted a H+S downpipe to my magnex centre and magnex silencer on a wr rb5
Did a 200 mile round trip today and noticed that my tailpipe has turned brown/straw coloured. Is this normal?...or is it getting too hot? as this never happened on my old 96uk car using the same set-up.
TIA
Jon

Perfectly normal (I think it's due to the overfuelling that's standard on these cars!!!!) It happened to my MY97 (d/pipe and b/box) and to my MY99 (full de-cat)

A bit of alloy wheel cleaner will take it straight back to silver!

Or better still use Duraglit brass cleaner (the stuff in the orange tin).

Works wonders for mine anyway.

Mine goes black. It is running really rich. Maybe that explains the 15-20mpg I get!
