poor hot start

I am just starting to have a problem starting my WRX wagon 1996, it starts fine from cold but when its hot I have to churn away at the starter to re-start.It also seems to suffer from fuel surge could this be a pressure related problem?
Any help would be much appreciated

i had this on my 93 wrx when i first had it , turned out to be a dodgy ecu ,got one from here second hand for £100, try and swap ecu with somone first .

i'd try the crank sensor first bit cheaper than an ecu

didnt say to buy an ecu swap with somebody and try it b4 you get one .
