Tried a similar post not long back, but didn't get too far! Seems the problem is creating the device that will give a series of sparks. Anyone got any ideas?

I have a working DIY circuit but I have used a spark booster so the curent through the reed relay is not as big as it would be going directly onto the coil.

May post the circuit digram later.

im looking at a flamer kit

Do you have to have a full decat system for a flamer kit to work, or will it work with near standard system......ive got a main downpipe with cat, centre removed and STi backbox on 93wrx ....

incidentally it failed the emissions test bigtime ..... well over limit.

do you reckon it would work?

cheers

"easiestway is to just buy the kit for £100 notes!" - That price they quote does not include fitting which is an extra £50. I have built a kit for under £20 including all the electronics, coil, HT lead and spark plug.

Think I would prefer the spare £80 thanks.

As for it working on part decat I dont know. Some people have got it to work others not, too many variables to give a definate yes or no answer. Try the search option and mail the people involved.
