I've got a MY97 Turbo and its completly standard engine wise at the moment. I'm running on optimax and getting between 220-240 miles out of a tank usually better if I'm on the motorway more..
Does this sound about right or is my right foot too heavy??

Sounds about right mate
I was getting 200 miles from my 50ltr tank (MY95) due to my ECU re-map but have since changed the coils & am getting 250-300 miles Coils breaking down can cause bad fuel consumption. Well they had done 100,000 miles

managed 110 miles and the guage said it was half full
and that was me "fainting" about mostly but a few good hard blasts with full throttle (couldnt help myself )
sounds about average
mines 97 wrx as well
previous car was a 1.7td vectra so the fuel bill at the momenet comes as a bit of a shock lol
