Just got a new set of alloys for my imported impreza and as i got to the last wheel while fitting i couldn't get the nuts back on , on two of the hub threads??!!!

Do i need a completely new hub (subaru dealer quoted £150)
or can i get the individual threads (i guess at about £5-£10)¬!

I CAN'T GO NOWHERE WITH JUST 3 NUTS ON!!!

I've no idea but is there a possibility of getting a threading nut? If only a small portion of the thread has gone, this might work.

[corrected to make more sense!]
[and spelling!]

They are the gadgets used to make the thread in the first place. They "grind" through the bare metal to make the thread.
If you get one of the correct thread size, it may be a case of just renewing/clearing the bad part of the thread - depends on the damage.

I've seen them around but can't remember where. A DIY place should be able to tell you.

I believe you can get replacement wheel studs. Not sure where from though, and you'll probably need a press or some other fancy tool to change them...

Will probably be safer than re-threading a damaged one with a tap & die set...

By "threading nut" I think you mean a Die!
It is used in a machine shop for cutting a thread, you should be able to get one in any DIY/tool store

If the thread is damaged it would be safer to replace the stud!

I think you have sorted this with a thread in WT&B though, with a little help from Mr.Godney
