The boost control solenoid , where is it and what does it look like , is it one of the two little valves in front of the drivers side suspension turret just behind the air box ? if so which one of the two valves is it?

 

it's the cylindrical looking one, the one with 3 pipes to it, one at the top and two at the bottom, one from turbo inlet compressor, one to actuator and one to inlet pipe.

And is that a 2 or 3 port solenoid?

MAP sensor on the left, not sure about red part, can't remember..

3 port is my guess

 

Hmmm, my solenoid looks like that, with a top and bottom hose, and one on side near bottom. 3 hoses / connections... So would mine be a 3 port boost control solenoid? Its a MY94 jap WRX Wagon
