Gauge Pod's/Mounts...
#2
No one sells them I am afraid.. you might be able to adapt a newer model one.. but they are a lot of money to then mess about with..
You are stuck with making your own.. or A pillar pods or as I have and remove the top middle air vents and fit the gauges in there.. although I have only done the one vent so far and have squeezed a Dawes AFR, a boost gauge and a switch in where the vent was...

Remove the vent's, ah good idea, i done this on my Rover and it had good results, just need to make/get a gauge pod to put in there though...
Cheers for now,

Have a look here: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=101406
It's not finished yet but you get the idea
Iain.

Just been looking at Dyneys project gauge pod and I hope you sort it and are happy with it.. but personnally I think the Scoob dash is pretty caCK anyway... so I couldn't care less about out of place gauges.. although in the vents is fairly conservitive..
If anything the more I can see of what is going on the better, don;t care how it looks.. infact the JUN racing scoob looks rather good although I'd probably use double sided rather than duct tape

John,
What kind are you looking for ?
I made one up over a year ago but didn`t get much interest in it so ended up mothballing the moulds. See http://www.scoobymods.co.uk/earlypanel01.htm BTW the 1 in the pic is fitted to my mota I also have a dash top one which was the end result of running out of space for gauges as I have 2 on the a-pillar & 3 in the heater control panel & a lambda link & knocklink with some other "toys" in the center con Could do a pic of the dash top one if any1`s interested ?

I shyed away from A pillar pods too..
Well I have a boost gauge in the right hand vent and there would be enough room if you cut the middle strut out..
Currently I have managed to mount mine with sticky pads and the fit is quite tight anyway. This is a 52mm gauge I believe and with no pod. I will perhaps eventually fit a front to the vents and mount the gauges in that so they are fluse to the front.
Currently I have the boost gauge just short of the front and positioned so nice and easy to see from drivers seat and Dawes AFR next to it with LED's sticking out and about to mount a switch to swap ECU maps above that.
Pull the three heating control ***** off, remove two screws (mounted in the bottom edge of the middle horizonal bar) and pull the vent surround including the two vents off (assuming WRX is same as UK car) then I just carefully pulled one vent cover out of the facia I just removed and there you have the room to mount etc..
At the minute air still passes the gauges etc.. and the other vent is still intact.. but if I block it with more gauges then I'll just not use this vent as a vent anymore..
Also when I was experimenting I had the gauge held in place with grey sponge so it didn;t move but easy to move it about to decide where to put the gauge before proper mounting.
I have an old picture somewhere but it was poor quality but I'll have a look at the weekend if I get the chance.
