Unhappy

Can anyone shed some light on the connection that's on the OS bulkhead of a my95 WRX, it look's like a diagnostic connection, and it's marked DIFF LOCK, but my scoob(as far as I'm aware) hasn't got adjustable diff's ?

Also any tips on getting off a very, very very tight oil filter on the above, tried with a strap wrench connected to a ratchet, snapped the webbing on the wrench !

put a screwdriver throught the filter?

I just take them off by hand wearing a surgeons rubber glove, then put the filter in the glove afterwards

There is definatley enough room!!
Every Scoob filter i have changed has been removed with the aid of a long phillips screwdriver

Yep i also do it with a screwdriver you should be able to bash a screwdriver in from the drivers side and then turn it a bit, once youve mooved it then you can use your hands..easy

I tried a webbing wrench,a cheap one, then connected that to a ratchet, but the bugger was so tight it snapped the webbing !
Seriously this is TIGHT, I'll keep trying, for now just changed the oil, as the filter is now a rather funny shape.........
