Go and open the bonnet. Located on the n/s strut turret you'll find the VIN plate. Find the chassis number and cross-reference on the IWOC website. This site is a handy one to keep in your favorites.
This should at least ID what you have. I'd assume its a GC8C4DD making it a STi2 or GC8D4ED = STi3.
Edited to add - Forgot to mention all early V-limited models are STi's. The newer ones were either STi or RA.

can anyone help me out just brought my second scooby after having a mitsu vr4 in between, and i cant figure out what it is. it appears to be a wrx v-limited but after searching the net all i can find are v-limited's that are sti's. The seats are grey and have commemorative stiching in the style of a crest with many flags from around the world, this badge is also on the boot next to the v-limited badge stating it's no. 523 of 1000, it also has a supershift gearbox with a badge on that saying it's no 2028 of 5000. it does have an sti front and skirts and colour coded door handles. can anyone point me in the right direction, wanted to get a picture of what other v-limited badge's look like and find out if it is an sti? i'm hoping it is cos the dealer i part ex'd my mitsu with had only just got it in and hadn't had time to research it so i could have got a real bargain.

AFAIK the only V-Limited WRX was an MY00, all the others were STi's (it probably revs higher than 7000rpm if its an STi )
Check out www.sidc.co.uk though as this has the models and years
