You can get injector pulse width and RPM from the ECU, and if you measured fuel pressure and flow tested the injectors (or made assumptions) you could have an MPG indicator to scare yourself with.

Does the ECU monitor the fuel flow? If so can this be correllated with the road speed and so give a realtime MPG reading?

Question

Is "injector pulse width" how long the injectors are open for? Is it possible to work out/measure how much fuel the injector is putting in (is this called the "duty cycle"?)?

I'm working on this very thing... I've not got anything that doesn't require a laptop though.
