when cold and coming to lights or junctions when clutch is depressed revs drop to about 500 and then pop up to 850/900 once before it has stalled.car has been remapped using ecutek but dont think the idle was altered.as soon as car is warm it is fine ie about 5mins running.anyone had probs with their idle control valve??
ps car is p1

john no faults coming up on the select monitor.bob checked when he did my remap with ecutek.could it be anything to do with the remap??.he also cleaned the idle valve.
he said it was very stiff but less so after he had cleaned it

john only seemed to start a few weeks after remap
select monitor check was done after it first started about 3weeks ago
car had been running fine and remap was done in sep
as soon as car is warm ie 5 mins then no probs
symptoms are like a vacuam leak with vta dump valves but as stated as soon as engine temp is about 80deg than all fine.

have used orig d/valve and forge item and it makes no diff
when car first starts from cold it revs at about 900-1000rpm and climbs to about 1100rpm but soon after if at a junction etc as soon as clutch is depressed revs drop and then bounce back up.i know there isnt a choke as such but it seems as if it is coming off of cold start enrichment too early??.i am not an expert by any means

Yes, you can check the actual values from the coolant temperature sensor using Select Monitor or Delta Dash. If the car is cold it will start at environmental temperature and go up to about 82 C when idling.
