Is it possible to put to much octain booster into your car?
I added Millers octain booster then filled up with Optimax and since then I have had problems. When I accelerate hard the car goes and then pops and holds back then goes and so on, if I accelerate slowly no problems. I then remembered I had put all the octain booster in but when I had put the fuel in it wasnt enougth, maybe 10 to 15 litres short, I was wondering if anybody had any ideas or it had happened to them,
My car is a 95 STi series 2 555

Check your Coilpacks.

 

Shouldnt be a problem on the booster front, before NF came about I used to double up on Millers, ie 2 bottles per tankfull and never had problems at all.

I hope its not the coil packs I changed them 4 weeks ago, maybe a faulty one though.
2 bottles in one go and no problems wow thats given me less to worry about.
Now all I have to do is cure this fault. Its as if the timing is too far advanced and when you accelerate it pops and nearly puts you through the windowscreen,
Any ideas anybody????????????????
