Anti lag?!
well apart from its illegal on road going cars, errrrrm i dont think there are any?
Anti lag has a few downsides (depends how many turbos you want to go though in a year) but it kills them quickly if you know what i mean

Its illegal to use on the road but no one says anything about having the system in the car eh?

Anyway, I'd like to know where can I get a system. If you're too shy to tell me on this board, mail me plz.

Cool

I have it on my 98 wagon (gems). I use it VERY sparingly as I am not sure exactly how quickly it will reduce the turbo to scrap.

depends on how aggressive you want the system to be??
turbo could last 2-3 events or 2-3 years!!!!
we use this system (gems ecu) on ALL our own/customer turbo rally cars and as long as you're fairly sensible with settings then it can be completely reliable (3yr old EVO5 rallied from new and sold on with ORIGINAL turbo/engine in mint condition)
currently use sti4 RA as "rally hire car" with a/lag and (touch lots of wood as i invite DOOM) has been excellent
if you need more info then mail me
alyn - as performance

only down side which needs slight altering of driving style is the "push" you get into slower corners as the car tries to carry on!!

Cool

i have it running on a 2.2 sti 5, i am using a motec ecu. good laugh, backfires and occasional blue flames, but you cant really run the system as agressive on a road car as it would be undrivable. you could if you bought a throttle kicker though, very expensive.

We run Gems anti lag on a v6 rally car, it`s a good system, and provides much more than just anti lag, but it does eat turbo`s. 3 events n she`s gone!! mind you, a rally car gets driven totally on the limit for those 3 events, on a road car, that would equate to a good few thousand miles.

Ok - so we all know the GEMs ECU does it - and very impressively too - You'll understand if you've seen it in action on a full decat

As an alternative (without flames & therefore posibly legal on the road) I proposed the T-Sport Flat Shift http://www.t-sport.com/ for both launch control & antilag, however, I didn't get many positive responses, see http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=141246

Just a thought....

Not used myself - no practical experience of - blah blah - std disclainmer etc....

Chris

Cool

There was a chip release for the Link that allowed antilag & launch control. There was a downside though, in order to fit the above options the real-time programming option had to be removed
as the rom has insufficient space for them all.
