Did you start the car to get it out the garage? Was it slow to turn over?
If it's slow to turn over then it sounds like the battery

It could be the starter motor solenoid sticking. (give the starter motor a tap with a hammer)

Yeah it has been a little slow to turn over recently. When I turn the key the clock light and stereo go off.

Having one of thoses days, thanks for the quick reply. What I don't understand is I did 160 miles lst night so it should be really charged. It was in the garage but alarmed and immobilised.

Cheers

I jumped the car and it seems fine. It has been taking a bit to get it going after turning the key, which is a problem with not using the accelerator, being a turbo car.

Is the battery in the Scoob the sort I could just get from say Kwik Fit?
