URGENT HELP REQ...Please?

Right Peeps, Your help is Required just before you all go out & enjoy yourself for the evenin.
I've got a MY99 turbo, what I need to know is....Does YOUR motor when idling tap/tick a bit??
To find this out you may need to open the bonnet & have a listen at the front of the engine. (Which would be much appreciated!!)
When I have mine idling I'm getting a tick..tick..tick constantly
, when on normal driving I don't here a dicky bird. All sounds sweet.
Just a little worried about this and need your help...Please??

could be a couple of things!?!
cam belt catching on back of plastic covers (seen this few times when incorrectly fitted)
sticky injector
sticky tappet - what oil do you use??
any number of other things??

hi,i have a 93wrx and theres a slight ticking noise, my old vauxhall cav gsi made a ticking noise but it was the fuel injection pump and quite normle im not sure if its the same with the scoob though

Turbo 2000 that's exactly it mate. When the lid's open it sounds like a Mk3 Escort! Well not that bad. Did you do anythin to get around the prob?? or just pack the engine with glass wool!!
