Can anyone tell me if disconecting my battery to do an ecu reset will trigger off the tracstar on my sti7. My fuel consumption is down and a reset on my previous MY01 used to sort it out.

Can you not 'phone them and advise them that you are 'changing' the battery ?

As far as I am aware the ECU in the STI UK (and other MY02's) is 'fast learning' compared to the MY01, so I don't believe a re-set would help as it would re-adapt very quickly.

You could ask you nearest dealer to do the re-set for you if it sets your mind at rest.
