I remember seeing on here sometime ago from SteveTurbo that Mobil 1 was the best oil if you have noisey followers.

Does anyone know which oil 0W - 40 or 15w - 50 ???

Any help please as soon as possible as i want to change the oil this weekend.

Many Thanks

Ive used Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w/50 and it definately helps noisy cars, but from what everyone says about the Motul 300v 15w/50, it should be even better

I think eventually they all have to be cured mechanically. Best way is using pistons and heads from an impreza, that way it should never be a problem. If you are running standard boost, then you could get away with the heads only, as doing so will raise the compression slightly, hence the need for matching pistons if you are using higher boost.
Replacing the lifters is another option, but very difficult to find the noisy ones, and replacing all of them would be expensive so best to go down the impreza route.

Try giving it and Engine oil flush . get good quality Engine flush.Pour in to present engine Oil and let it IDLE I REPEAT ONLY IDLE for couple of min. Drain out and let it drain well then change filter and new oil.Works on my legacy every time
