Cool

Mine did the same thing after I used a jet wash.

I had a word with Mark Underwood the wax wizard and he advised some cleanse no. 2, I got some other stuff wax etc did the car with the cleanse stuff and it looked better than the day I bought it.

Mark posts on the bbs so if you do a search you should get some details.
Its not cheap but well worth the money.

Cheers

Get them resprayed, easiest way of getting them back to their former glory, won't cost much and you can even take them off and leave them with them instead of the whole car. BTW, thats what we did we ours

Contigo: get the door handles, skirts and mirrors done at the same time, it's the dog's.
Scoobyboy- don't tell us, you've got a red scooby too, and it had pink vents etc., then when another red one came in for service.......................................
Only joking :

Of course I'm going to get them done

Door handles, mirrors, skirts (middle, back).front lip spoiler fitted and sprayed, rear door trim, clear indicators fitted, vent respray......

He's going to be mixing 1/2 litre of paint, so I don't want any of it going to waste now do I

It's great cos he still hasn't billed me for the mid level spoiler spraying and fitting

Where's the "We're not worthy" smilie

Scoobyboy you are the best mechanic around! Is that enough praise?

Anyone who spends their employers time doing big brake conversions gets my respect.

Keep up the good work and see you around.

Yes, my vents and scoop have definitely faded
Thanks for the advice about trying cleanse no. 2 (guess I'll have to try to get some... any feebies Mark :-)

PS my scoop has what looks like 'water stains' on it, and so far I haven't been able to polish them out (didn't want to rub too hard ...)

Red MY94

Update - Actually the vents haven't faded, but they now look a darker red than the rest of the car
and the car doesn't seem to have faded significantly ?
Maybe they always were darker and I've only just noticed ?
