Revs jumping when changing gear

MY01 with Magnex cat-back system, optimax.
Can anybody tell me why the revs have started jumping 500-1000rpm when I depress the clutch? It particularly occurs from changes at 3000 rpm upwards. Seems odd, & I am concerned in case it is a sympton of something serious going on.
