When a tyre blows, shut the throttle, don't touvh the brake, try and keep steering input to a minimum.
When I was 17, I tried a different approach - when tyre blows, make car perform 2 3/4 twisting front somersult.

HKSubaru - get yourself on an advanced driver course or two - preferably at least one on the skid pan. One you get a feel on what to expect from your car and what to do in response you'll be far better equipped than anyone can tell you via a BB.

Perhaps I should point out that was many years before I got a scoob. It was in my mothers 205 SR (5 door XS). Reporting home was probably more dangerous than the in car acrobatics. ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Tyre blow out mid corner with driver 10 days after passing test = sudden realisation that you aren't a good driver despite what all 17 year old's think.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
12 years on, (haven't crashed since) - still can't drive, but at least I know it now
