Changing a CV boot - DIY?
#1
Hi
I've got a split CV boot and was wondering if it is worth tackling the job myself or is it a real pain to do. I'm not too bad with smaller jobs with the car (changed brakes last night <30 mins) but usually shy away from bigger stuff like this.
Does it involve withdrawing driveshafts and the like and if anyone has done it and has instructions for doing the job then that would be great!
Cheers

Mate of mine did his by slicing down the mould line with a very sharp blade and then glued the join back together with Superglue. Still in place 2 years and 2 MOTs later.
Food for thought......
