Fuel Cut limiter/Rev limiter?
#1
93 Legacy gt wagon
Anyone know what RPM the fuel cut or rev limiter kicks in on?
It tends to back off just after red lining...around 7000rpm
Will a fuel cut defender remove this prob?
Cheers for any help...

Limit is 7000, complete fuel cut at 7100, comes back in at 6800.
You don't want to remove this, if you do, you may well blow the engine as the pistons are on the heavy side, and revving, even without load may well snap a rod or damage a bearing.
The power drops off after about 6000rpm anyway, so holding longer is pointless (boost is mapped to reduce at high revs).
I can only assume you're getting caught out overtaking, best solution is get used it and be read to change gear.
