PPP exhaust getting quieter????
#1
Strange one this but a few weeks after fitting the PPP to my MY01 I noticed it was getting quieter? I thought I might be going mad
so I waited until a neighbour got an identical car and had the PPP fitted. I'm now positive my sanity is in check (ok that's probably getting carried away)
We parked them side by side and left them ticking over and there is definitely a noticable difference in the noise level. Mine was as loud when I got it first.
Is this normal? Will his quieten down with time or should I head back to the nice man at Subaru to get something checked?

Aha. Thanks for that. At least it'll save me the trip to subaru now.
My Scoobysport up and downpipe should fix the problem (??) a bit
Just need to put the last month behind me and get to saving the installation money again.

Well then I'm sorted.
I have the PPP installed already so back and centre are sorted.
I have the Up and Downpipes sitting in my shed so once they're fitted that's the lot sorted.
A question though. I use the car for sales calls and visits to partners etc. It's fine on the noise front now. Will the back box be enough to keep it all civilised if I have the Up/Downpipes fitted or will it be completely obnoxious?
When answering try to forget that you like mad noise and think of it from a normal human being point of view. Come to think of it I'm asking the wrong people then

Normal people? Who are they?
PPP BB - as long as you're not driving like a nut - is still pretty quiet with the DP replaced (I don't think the up-pipe makes a difference). Change the BB to a noisier one - ScoobySport, for example, and it is noisier at idle, but not so as to have people scowling. That only happens when you're having fun
