I got an MY96 WRX. It has only just come into the country and had the speedo converted from Km to miles. For some reason the main mile counter has stoped on 31,999 miles. Any ideas why? and any ideas how to fix?

The counter had to be moved back to read the right number in miles. I can't take it back as i got the car trade.

ahh, I might *ahem* *cough* have a similar problem with my mileometer. I think it's a case of when the milage is adjusted from Kms to miles that the actual mechanisim sometimes gets messed up. I think the only real solution is to either get a new speedo cluster, or second hand one. The only prob with a second hand one is that the same problem could occur again the next time a big rollover comes along.
