I am looking at the next Mod for my RA (not Sti)
So far, S/S downpipe and back box (no pussycats)...ITG panel filter and am about to fit defi boost/ oil gauges etc.
Dump valve (for sound !)
Looking at a Dawes device. Understand what it is but ...
1) is it worth doing on an import ?
2) what should I be looking to fit with it ie Lambda / Knock etc for a little reasurance.
3) Are they a good idea anyway along with the Defi boost gauges etc.
4) Does the boost gauge need to be calibrated at all ?
5) would it be better to save for a ECU upgrade ?

Sorry for all the questions but thanks for your help !

In reply to your questions and based upon what I found out from my enquiries about Dawes:

1. Can't think why not
2. Knocklink or the Air Fuel metre that you can get from Dawes (cheaper and does the job) would be the minimum you need for safety.
3. Defi is fine - the more info the better
4. Don't see why
5. Depends - how much do you want to spend. Dawes is cheap and effective - it is easily removable, so you could sell it on and upgrade the ECU if you so wished later on.

The best thing to do is have a look at this link which should tell you all you need to know (there is a lot of reading to do )

Cheers
Chris
