Default exhaust help please

2003 Blobeye Sti type uk PPP

Stock

Hi guys, looking for some advice please.

I was under the car undersealing and saw the flange of my exhaust between my back box and centre section quite badly corroded. Going further forward the front of the centre section is corroded too. To the point where its eaten quite a bit of the flange.

So I need to replace the centre section and the section in front. Problem is I don’t know what to buy. Ive called roger clark motorsport and got a quote from them and also looked at scooby world and got a quote from them too. There is a pretty big price difference so stumped on which to get. I don’t need the back box as my prodrive back box is in decent nick and would like to keep the car as much original as possible. Ive got no plans to map it.

What would you guys recommend?

RCM have given two quotes (both fitted)

catted downpipe and centre pipe - £1189
catless downpipe and centre pipe - £1033

scooby world (not fitted)
about £600

Given how much labour costs - ScoobyWorld might end up very near to RCM on price

you dont need a downpipe. its a PPP so has a sportcat downpipe in it. leave it alone.

id say you only need a centre section and a secondary decat (if not already stainless variant)

centre section
https://haywardandscott.com/products...-centre-pipe-1

secondary
https://www.scorpion-exhausts.com/su...xhaust-systems
or
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126553318987

and thats you sorted. plus any exhaust shop, can fit it

This is what I saw when I was under. As far as I can see I need a center pipe and the section ahead. Am I right or do I need more?

Yeah that's the two pieces I linked. A centre section and a secondary cat bypass pipe.

Someone has previously cut the resonator out of out standard centre section.

Is it worth keeping the prodrive back box? Would I see better gains with an RCM back box?

The gains will be negligible, id just keep the prodrive for authenticity

Will removing the existing cat so it’s a careless system make it loud? Chavvy loud?
