*** key wont turn to lock position

I have a Turbo2000 - just recently when I turn off the car and withdraw the key from the ignition .... the key only turns back to the Accessory position and not the Lock position.

That means
- the radio still has power
- the steering lock doesn't engage
- one small turn of key starts car

I did wiggle the steering wheel but no difference.

Any idea ?
