Key wont turn in ignition
Hello,
My key wont turn in the ignition, it was dodgy today and took a few goes for it to turn, but no it just wont turn at all.
The key works fine in all doors, but i can't get it to turn in the lock.
I've tried putting WD40 on the key, but it didn't help.
Is there something i'm missing, do i need to do something before turning the key?
The red light on my immobilizer dash display goes out as soon as the key is in the ignition.
Dead unhappy, I've just spent loads of money on it and now it wont even start sad.gif
Help!

Have you tried inserting the key with your left hand and turning it with your teeth whilst holding the clutch down with your other hand?? Guess not!!
Could be many things fella, lock barrel colapsed or a steering lock problem
What would i do? After doing all i could to no avail and all ways needing my motor on the road, id call the pro's, dont quite know who without looking but.........

This may sound stupid and I apologise if you know/tried this but is the standard steering lock on and putting pressure on the lock?
Try rocking the wheel backwards and forwards as you turn the key.

Had this once on my impreza.. it was my fault as i had been using the key to open up boxes and had some gunk left on the key... worked fine in the door lock, but the ignition didn't wanna know.
Took the key out and scrbed it about a bit and its been fine ince! ALso worth releasing the preasure of the sttering lock as suggested above

Is this gonna be a key or ignition problem? I have no code for my key, is there any way of getting another cut?
