Default Coolant Levels 2005 STI

Evening everyone,

Has anyone experienced random coolant levels in their reservoir tank on a bugeye STI? When the car has been on a drive, then parked up on level ground, the level of coolant in the reservoir can be on the minimum line, the maximum line or anywhere in between. Is this normal or do I have an issue?

Thanks all.

That's an overflow tank (beside the rad) and what you're seeing is normal

You’ll usually find it’ll be around the min level when cold and the max level when hot due to expansion.

Should be on full level line when cold and above full level line when hot due to expansion, hence expansion tank.

Sorry for the late reply, same car and depending on its mood the level changes about an inch.
