Default turbo wastegate actuator question as ive no high revs power

hi all

2003 impreza sti type uk

owned from new, ppp was fitted at dealer the re mapped at prosport in stockport @350bhp, other than that bog standard

ive lost pulling power after 4k revs, turbo spools but feels like no power after that, and a smell of petrol. feels like it cant breath properly, the hard pull has gone

so ive narrowed it down best i can

should the wastegate actuator physically move when reving the engine, because its not, i can move it with my hand so its not stuck.

does it have a boost control solenoid?

also seeing as its 20 yrs old and had a recent top end rebuild ( head gasket went) when ive sorted the boost issue is it worth getting a fresh re-map?

gaz

Would be worth checking the map after all this time, a decent specialist should be able to do all at the same time (check over etc).

Boost solenoid failed or vacuum leak.
