Default Oil in manifold

Hi all ,I started taking some bits off to get the car ready for mot,it's been sat for around 2 years and started up every few month,taken the exhaust manifold off and there is oil inside and around one cylinder,what are the possible causes?

could be a ring, piston / bore damage or something like a leaky injector diluting the carbon build up or causing bore wash, etc.........

or it could simply be because its never been totally up to temps over these years (sitting idling for however long doesn't do the same as a proper run)

Thanks Alyn,was supposed to be a temporary short block I fitted due to the forged one letting go.
Kind member @johnlogie donated his old block which I've done around 12k and still sounds and goes sweet.

I need to get it MOT'd before January to park it on the road so we can get the driveway done,then start using it again,don't half miss driving it!
I'm itching to get a shortblock,do you still have the new ej20's in stock?

Also I know you do injector service now,what's your turn around time on these?

better to email direct as these things often get missed but some stuff is currently delayed / back order and yes injector stuff is no problem........
normally 4-5days turnaround

Nice one I shall be in touch,ring/email after Xmas,might try and get the injectors to you before with your decent turnaround time.
