Default Fuel Rail/Manifold Interchangeability question - Please help

Hi,

I don't think this question has ever been asked before but here goes.

Will the fuel rail from a V5 GC8 Turbo 2000(Phase 2) bolt on to a V4 GC8 STI manifold(Phase 1.5)?

I have come across adapter kits but these are to convert Phase 1.5 injector rails to use Phase 2 Injectors.
No one talks about whether the actual Phase 2 injector rail fits onto a Phase 1.5 manifold and works using Phase 2 Injectors without adapters?!

Any help will be appreciated.

the later ph2 style manifolds 99> are wider so the solid feed pipes would have to be modified for starters BUT the main issue is that the securing points, etc on the injector rail itself are totally different positions.........

all of this was done 20+ years ago and found to be problematic hence why we have always made adaptor kits, etc.......

Got you. Thanks for your reply. In that case I am buying a top feed conversion as that would be best I think.

thank you!
