Default Thermostat housing bolt sheared

I'm currently in the process of doing timing belt, water pump, etc.

When trying to remove the thermostat housing from the old pump a bolt sheared and I'm having trouble locating a replacement. I know the part number is 01040625A but I can only find replacements online from America. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I've looked on ICP and can see a replacement thermostat but not the bolts.

Thanks.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the answer... Although it makes sense. Closest are Croydon or Twyford, a good 15+ miles away.

I'll have to borrow the son in laws car at the weekend

Oil pump bolts are the same bolt, if that makes it any easier.

Thanks all. I have some good options now so will make some calls tomorrow.

It's not a proper job unless you snap a couple of bolts... Fortunately nothing that can't be fixed easily.

Not good. I was very lucky this time. One snapped in the old waterpump, which is getting binned; and the radiator bracket bolt snapped but that is easily accessible and drilled out nicely. Makes a change, normally it's something near to impossible.

I was left stuck in the yard for 2 months after a thermostat housing bolt snapped; some so called specialist had wound it back in misthreaded, so new timing and water pump kit all over again within 5k miles.
Then I asked another place to Timsert all the brake caliper mounts, only to replace discs and pads days before track time and find they hadn't done 2 of them. Stuck again!

Hence why I now try to do as much myself as possible.
Highly skilled, reliable garages seem to be few and far between. And those that are about have understandably huge waiting times.

For the sake of a couple of quids with of bolts I wouldn't want to put anyone out. I'm calling Kinghams in Croydon, with the aim to head over there tomorrow. Thanks though.

Fair point, it's not load bearing so any suitable replacement should suffice.

I would say I like to keep original spec... But the original wasn't that great after 100,000 miles 🤷
