Default Turbo advise 20g on newage cars

Hi chaps looking for some information,
i know the Td05 is old hat now but looking for some advise from users that have tried this old set up.
cars a MY02 jdm sti so big port avcs and has the basic bolt on's Decatted system, pump, plugs, filter, bcs etc
Now i have a Genuine td05 20G from the clinic many moons ago that had a rebuild then sat on shelf so as new,
My question is will this be a lag monster on my engine? i know im capped at the 380hp mark due to inj and Tmic
Another option i have which is ive been offered a brand new 16G thats again old stock but new.
loose some top end 20/30hp but full boost by 3k?
the orignal low KM vf30 was stupidly sold off buy me as was going to go 20g then started to think was this wise.

any thoughts please.

I had a Classic with a TD05, have no idea if it was 16g or 20g, loads of lag, but most fun Impreza i've ever owned. When the power kicks in your thrown in the back of your seat.
