Any 18/20g NewAge owners?
I'm going the new turbo route in november, but i'm a bit concerned about losing driveability by fitting the 20g.
Few people have said there's no real difference, others said it's real laggy.
Just wandered if there's any owners around, that i could maybe see/experience, before i make the decision?
(I've got a comparison graph (18g v 20g), but real-world would be better for me)

I've got the 18g
Hi Gaz,
I have the 18G TD05 on a 52 plate WRX. It spools up just after 3000rpm. I only have my previous MY96 STi 2 to compare it to but I do think it has a bit more lag. Goes like stink when it's spinning though!! A couple of mods and it's producing 327bhp.
I would take you for a spin but you're quite a distance away!!

I've got the 20G on my MY02 STI. In 5th/6th gear peak boost is at 3500rpm.
Lag ? whats that ?

Turbo
I am running a Garrett which is just a tad bigger than the 20g in my sti9,
Along with another fre choice mods and the driveability every day is as if it was still the vf35
Thats untill you open it up PMSL then WOO HOO
I would not worry about a 20g at all on your motor
