I'm in the middle of fitting a newage water/AVCS balance tube crossover pipe to my classic Type R. I've had the throttle body coolant line bypassed for a very long time, but I'm just wondering if it's OK to block off the two pipes with some rubber or silicone end caps instead of having the rubber hose looping them together? It would look better to cap them off and no risk of the coolant hose rubbing against the new crossover pipe. But is it somehow negative for the coolant circulation, my guess is no?
Currently pondering doing this to my GRB. I don’t see what the down side would be. I think the entire reason the port on the black water pipe and the coolant crossover pipe exist is to feed coolant to the throttle body. Without the need to do this I don’t see a need to keep them.
I wanna know if Subaru ever made a cross over pipe without the hose nipples on the coolant crossover pipe and the black water pipe.
