Question

I'm gonna get me one, i can live with the noise seeing as me scoob sounds like armagedon anyways but:

Why is one VTA more significantly more expensive than the other? Is it a materials thing, better design thing or is one just better than the other.

Anyone done both of them (OOER!) or any comments in general?

I know what they do, i know that there are no performance gains, at best there are some drivability gains but i'm interested to see if there is a bailey/forge divide out there and on what basis.

Let's hear from you VTA boyz and put ya vote forward with a reason. If you chose because of cost, then let us know.

Cheers

Mikey

Quality..on both are VERY good,so price difference is nothing to do with that.
Sound..my Baileys is just audible over my ind kit,so could be down to loudness/sound.

Yo Mikey!!

Got a Forge VTA on mine with the uprated blue spring. Dead easy to fit, sounds great, nice woooooooosh and the car flames like a b4st4rd!!! The standard red spring gives you a WRC stylie chatter, so depends what your after....

Forge send the blue spring FOC

Catch ya later!

Does it take long to change the springs on the forge and does the bailey job come with different springs?

I got a bailey evo on my uk scooby and i must say very happy with easy to fit and it's got loads of wooooosh..
dont know if they do different springs for it though,

my cousin got a forge dump valve but sounds quiet with standard spring,
in saying that he's got a blits induction kit...
and that makes anything sound quiet..!!

Changing the springs on the forge took me 10 minutes, and thats taking it off the car, fitting the spring and putting back on the car. Piece of cake dude!!!!

On my 96 Sti ran both a forge VTA with the lightened spring-red or blue i get mixed up answell as a twin piston Bailey. No comparison the forge is fantastic. It kicks out alot more bangs and flames and sounds so much better.

No mate - the red spring is the standard one (slight whoosh, WRC chatter and flames now and then). The blue spring is the uprated one forge send out FOC (no WRC chatter, but big pssscchhttwhooosh and loads of flames )
