Default Cut out at junction

Hi all

i have a sti 2004 U.K.

coming to a stop at a junction and the steering lost power the car had switched off. No hesitate I didn’t even realised until I tried to turn the steering. Restarted fine and off I went. Checked oil is fine. Have petrol.

Abit odd not happened before any suggestions?

has a sports cat
ss exhaust
uprated fuel pump
Perrin long arm
remap

Just ordered a new Denso MAF as I don’t know how old this is and it sometimes chocks on start up.

maybe this could have something to do with it?

Mine doing the same a few years ago I’m sure all I changed was the maf and it sorted it.

Did you change maf sensor? did it sort the problem??

I had this once. Turned out that the battery wasn't secured and the positive terminal was too (I'd not long bought the car). Terminal jumped off the battery post!
