Hi

I have a JDM V7 Sti with a whinning noise when steering in the cold, sometimes it sounds like 2 cogs whirling away but not connected.

Also the steering gives a lot of "bouncing" feedback - so heavy then light in the same movement

I checked the oil level and it is just below the min line, but in the top of the lid there was like a yellow/cream colour oil.

Im going to get a new belt and oil but is this an early sign the pump is in need of changing as well?

Any help or advise would be much appreciated

Is the pump easy to replace?
