Default Rumble ratitle knock noise.

I have recently heard this noise when revving at idle and as soon as I grab the camera it stops.

I've had an oil change, fill the tank with v power and added lucas octain booster. *These were due. And it made no difference.

You'll hear it as soon as I touch the gas and then it goes.

I did find a video of a 96 classic with the exact sound but louder an he said it was his downpipe gasket.

I had a similar noise and it turned out to be boost solenoid.

I actually replaced mine with a pieburg 3 port. It was this one that was causing the noise as i mounted it without any rubber dampening. My old Subaru had the same noise which also had a 3 port fitted by the mapper. I only noticed the noise a few weeks after and I thought it was the beginning of the dreaded rod knock. I only put 2 and 2 together when I tried to think what I had recently changed. I've since put some silicone pipe behind it and the noise has gone.
You might get away with cleaning it.

Cleaned it out today.
had the rubber pipes off and ignition on nd even started with some soft revs to help it suck through.

Filled pipes, put back together and half an hour later went for a drive. I'm sure the knocking noise became constant rather then intermittent and it could be plazibo effect but I feel like the car is more responsive but rather then a wallop of power it slowly increases.

This may have been because I didn't floor it but held the pedal down slowly

Does it need a remap to fit an uprated one.

Get some one to rev it slightly and put your finger on it. You will feel it vibrate. If you swap it like for like no adjustments will need to be made. If you go from a 2 port to a 3 port, the wastegate duty cycle will need adjusting.
