Default Oil Leak! Source?

Morning All

hope we’re keeping well.

so had the car a few weeks and moved the car this morning to find some oil marks on the floor from the front.

when I had a look under the car last week there was some drops but couldn’t find where looked like engine oil and not gear box oil but who knows.

What could the sources of the leaks be to check?

engine

sump plug
oil filter
Head gasket
??

gearbox

x2 sump plugs
??

any where else and what other items could leak oil?

many thanks

Crank shaft oil seal at rear of engine or rocket cover gaskets at either side are common ones. You can see the rocker covers easily, where the spark plugs are.

Rear crank seal yes, be as well to put in a new clutch whilst there if its that unless you know its had a recent clutch. You could replace the neutral position switch at the same time.

You might want to check the PCV valve. They get blocked and it starts forcing oil out of loads of different parts, turbo, crank seal etc. Lost a turbo and engine that way.
