SG9 Forester STI ej255 fit in Hawkeye WRX?
Hi all, will a SG9 Forester STI ej255 go straight in a Hawkeye WRX? I've recently got a scoob and HG is gone. Considering a rebuild but curious if the above engine will drop straight in. I have sourced one for £2300 which was forged 5k ago with the following
Mahle big end bearings.
Mahle main bearings.
1.1mm RCM headgaskets.
2.1 Mahle 2618 material pistons 99.75mm.
11mm headstuds.
11mm oil pump.
Engine block honed and skimmed.
Head skimmed.
Has proof of the build by zen performance and the engine can be heard running, i could get the engine and someone to fit it for around 3k all in?? Like I said I am considering just getting my engine built but want to look at cheaper options as I've only had the car a month and I think a build with the same spec as the this will cost around 4-5k. One last thing I can also get a forged ej257 for a similar price but it comes with manifolds, up pipe and turbo! I believe this is a direct fit with just a remap afterwards?
cheers lads
