Sorry for being a dim wit but what needs changes to get the jap cars to run on 95/97/98 RON in the UK.
If it's the ECU whats an approx cost for the job

I used run my 1993 WRX on super 97 and now 98 with no ECU mods and no pinking or other problem symptoms. It will run on 95 but I got the occasional pinking so it aint recommended.
Not sure if you could get a UK ECU to fit directly but I guess that's what would sort it out.
OR you could get an ECU remap done at say Power Engineering who will re-map the fuel for 95 RON or whatever you specify.

Ran my MY95 WRX on NUL when I first got it (2 tanks worth) without blowing it up but it was a bit rough and juddery. SUL gave a definate improvement and Optimax was even better. Adding octane boost to Optimax should put my fuel to around 100RON but I'd be happy to run it on Optimax or SUL no problem.

Been told by a petrol tanker driver from a big firm that the LRP is actualy super unleaded with a lead addative. It is cheaper than Super and has a bit of lead in it have run my car on it a lot better than the super no pinking or any other problems.
