Angry Funny noise challenge!

After some diagnostics help please folks, had no recent work done on the car (03 wrx) noticed on the drive home a funny noise from what sounds like rear passenger wheel. Sounds like brake pad catching the disk on each rotation slightly but! Only sounds when accelerating and in motion, coasting no noise, clutch down no noise. On bite or stationary reving no noise...

Any ideas?

cant be brake as it stops if I dip clutch!?

Could be that slowly degrading bushes on the rear end have got to the point where they're transmitting audible drivetrain noise into the cabin. Rear subframe bushes for example. Worth a check to see what condition they're in

Sorry guys, I may have jumped the gun a bit and asking for help, got a mate it stick his head out the window while I drove. He could hear it all the time but just louder when accelerating. So went to start inspecting it and 3 alloy bolts were finger loose about 2 or 3 rotations.

all fixed but suspicions are high...

thanks for your comments though, much appreciated as always!

So do you reckon someone hadn't done them up properly, or a ne'er-do-well has been loosening them off?
There was a spate of wheel bolts getting nicked in my area a couple of years ago. Just single bolts from wheel getting removed.
